MOORE, Dr. Gerald Lynn A retired professor of music
for 32 years at Lipscomb University. Born February 2, 1939 in Dallas,
TX, died February 11, 2010. Preceded in death by son, Barry Lee Moore.
Survived by wife of 49 years, Barbara; sons, Scott (Sherry) Moore and
Brent (MariLynn) Moore; grandsons, Devon Moore and Austin Moore. Army
Veteran with honorable discharge. Gerald was chairman of Lipscomb
University Music Dept. 1995-1997. Currently he was senior adjunct
teacher at Lipscomb University. Gerald was founder and director of
Nashville Early Music Ensemble, co-director of Nashville Double Reeds
and a member of the Bellevue Community Chorus. He received many music
grants and travel awards. Gerald was a hymnbook editor and published
arrangements of Shakespeare, Native American Songs and over 70 Choral
arrangements. Gerald was an American Recorder Society Level III teacher.
